Botulinum toxin (“Botox”)
Botulinum toxin is a neuromodulatory molecule that reduces the action of the expression muscles and thus masks dynamic wrinkles. As a result, your face appears relaxed, rested and rejuvenated and its expressions are preserved. This molecule also has sweat-limiting effects.
Indications
- Crow’s feet, lion’s wrinkle, forehead or nose wrinkles
- Eyebrow position correction (forehead lift)
- “Gummy smile” (smile with visible gums)
- Socially disturbing axillary sweating problem
The surgeon will check with you to make sure that there are no contraindications concerning this molecule.
The procedure
Micro-injections are carried out while minimising the pain, which is almost imperceptible. A slight redness and swelling may temporarily appear.
It takes 5 to 10 days to observe the effects that will persist for 3 to 6 months. The treatment can be combined with other aesthetic treatments for a more general facial rejuvenation result. Your surgeon will give you the customary advice to maximise the result after the injections.
