Fractional radiofreqency

 Fractional radiofrequency

Fractional radiofrequency is a revolutionary, non-invasive and risk-free technique that firms, beautifies and rejuvenates the skin. It stimulates the natural production of collagen and consequently promotes wrinkle reduction and skin restructuring. It also prevents skin ageing. Results are visible from the very first session.

Radiofrequence_dr_cuylits

Recommended for:

  • Inflammatory acne
  • Acne scars
  • Shrinking and tightening enlarged pores
  • Stretch marks
  • Sagging skin on the facial oval, face, jowls, neck, décolleté
  • Body contouring (arms, thighs, stomach)
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Skin firming

The main contraindications include: pregnant and/or breastfeeding women, the use of a pacemaker, people with melanoma, presence of a metallic implant, keloid scars.

What happens during a radiofrequency session?

An anaesthetic gel is applied 1 hour before the session on the surface to be treated. Then we choose the handpiece.
This is made up of micro-needles which allow it to penetrate under the skin at various depths (between 0.2 and 3.5 mm).
After choosing the appropriate settings, the handpiece is placed on the skin. Very high frequency electromagnetic waves will be precisely channelled by transforming electrical energy into heat.
This heat will accelerate blood circulation and cell activity, in order to synthesise more collagen, resulting in increased elasticity of the connective tissue.
The warm sensation is identical to that of sunburn.
Then, the doctor applies a soothing and healing cream. Recovery time is approximately 3 days; the redness can be covered with makeup from the next day.
This treatment is to be repeated 1 month later; a third session can sometimes be necessary in some cases.

The sessions are performed at the Centre Médical du Parc ( 9 avenue des Nerviens • 1040 Brussels).

Cryolipolyse

Cryolipolyse

Cryolipolyse is an aesthetic medical intervention that allows the breakdown of hypodermic fat by prolonged exposure to cold. This technique eliminates localized fat in order to reshape a patient’s body.

Cryolipolyse

Indications

Elimination of localized adiposity such as:

  • Chin
  • Arms
  • Adipomasty
  • Inframammary fold
  • Belly
  • Love Handles
  • Saddlebags
  • Thighs
  • Knees
  • Calves

The main contraindications are: visceral hernias, cold related diseases and pregnancy.
Your surgeon will check with you to ensure that there are no contraindications for this treatment.

Procedure

A session lasts about 60 minutes. First, your doctor measures the fat fold and defines the treatment parameters to achieve your goals. Then, he applies a cryoprotective wipe to the skin of the area to be treated. When the applicator is installed, the fat crystallization begins. Comfortably seated, all you have to do is relax, read or listen to music. Once the session is over, your doctor will massage the treated area for about ten minutes to accelerate the lymphatic process and the elimination of fat cells.

The results are not immediately visible because the fat cells are gradually eliminated by the lymphatic system. The first results will be observed some 8 weeks after the treatment, and the fat cells will continue to be eliminated for 3 or 4 months.

The sessions are held at the Centre Parati (7 rue Grand’rue • 1341 Céroux-Mousty).

Lifting

Lifting

The purpose of a facelift is to correct the sagging and laxity of the skin and soft tissues of the face and neck to achieve a rejuvenating effect.

Operacja plastyczna, kobieta w klinice chirurgii estetycznej

Indications

Neck laxity, sagging of the facial oval, appearance of jowls or deep cheek wrinkles. This surgical intervention does not correct expression lines or the appearance of the skin but may be combined with other facial procedures (blepharoplasty, lipofilling, peeling, etc.)

The surgical intervention

A personalised procedure will be proposed by your surgeon for a targeted improvement of your facial appearance.

The general principles of surgical technique are as follows:

  • The scars are hidden in the hair and around the ear.
  • During the surgical intervention, after detaching the skin from the subcutaneous tissues, the latter are retightened to achieve a re-suspension effect of the soft tissues of the face. This results in a precise correction of the sagging effect while preserving facial expressions.
  • The skin is then redraped by removing the excess.

The patient’s face will then have a rejuvenated and rested appearance. However, the result remains natural. In order to be fully satisfied, a period of 3 to 6 months is necessary for the tissues to regain their suppleness and for the scars to fade.

Quitting smoking at least 2 months before the operation is mandatory in order to prevent predictable complications. Your surgeon will also review your general health with you in detail in order to minimise the risks of the surgical intervention as much as possible.

Eyelids

Eyelids

Blepharoplasty, a term used to correct the eyelids, improves the eyes and corrects the effects of periorbital aging.

Medycyna estetyczna , gabinet kosmetyczny, zabieg złuszczania

Indications

  • Lower eyelids: pockets, sagging or fine lines, loss of muscle tone.
  • Upper eyelids: swollen appearance, drooping eyelids, excess skin tissue (reimbursed by a health mutual under strict conditions).

The surgical intervention

Other operations (facelift) may be indicated if necessary.

  • Scars are hidden in the natural folds of the skin.
  • Fat pockets, excess skin and muscle are reworked to produce a rejuvenating effect and mask wrinkles and furrows.
  • The microthreads used to close the incisions will be gently removed by your surgeon 3 to 7 days after the operation.

Patients will have a more relaxed and open look.

Protruding ears

Protruding ears

Otoplasty is the term used to describe the operation performed to reshape protruding ears. This defect is most often the result of a plication defect in the cartilage of the ear auricle. This surgery can be performed at any age from about 7 years of age.

oreilles décollées

Indications

  • Excessive angle between the ear auricle and skull.
  • Excessive size of certain cartilage parts, responsible for the protruding appearance of the ear.
  • Cartilage fold defect which gives the ear a flat and unstuck appearance.

The surgical intervention

  • The scars are hidden in the fold behind the ear.
  • The cartilage is exposed by peeling off the skin and is reshaped to restick the auricle back to the ear.

In order to be fully satisfied, a period of 1 to 3 months is necessary for the tissues to regain their suppleness and for the scars to fade. The ear reliefs are then visible and the sensitivity of the ear is recovered within the following months.

Quitting smoking at least 2 months before the operation is mandatory in order to prevent predictable complications. Your surgeon will also review your general health with you in detail in order to minimise the risks of the surgical intervention as much as possible.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid has a volumising effect that allows wrinkles to be filled in. The skin recovers its tone and radiance. The result is immediate and the treatment marks are discreet so that you can rapidly resume your social activities after the injections.

cuylits_acide-Hyaluronique

Indications

  • Wrinkles, fine lines, hollows
  • Loss of lip volume
  • Facial volume defects

The surgeon will check with you to make sure that there are no contraindications concerning the products to be used.

The procedure

The injection procedure varies according to the indications. Redness and bruising may appear temporarily. These effects generally do not generate a period of social exclusion. Your surgeon will give you the customary advice to maximise the result and avoid complications after the injections.

The effects are immediate and last between 8 and 18 months depending on the treatments (according to the indications and products used).

Botulinum toxin (“Botox”)

Botulinum toxin (“Botox”)

Botulinum toxin is a neuromodulatory molecule that reduces the action of the expression muscles and thus masks dynamic wrinkles. As a result, your face appears relaxed, rested and rejuvenated and its expressions are preserved. This molecule also has sweat-limiting effects.

cuuylits_botox

Indications

  • Crow’s feet, lion’s wrinkle, forehead or nose wrinkles
  • Eyebrow position correction (forehead lift)
  • “Gummy smile” (smile with visible gums)
  • Socially disturbing axillary sweating problem

The surgeon will check with you to make sure that there are no contraindications concerning this molecule.

The procedure

Micro-injections are carried out while minimising the pain, which is almost imperceptible. A slight redness and swelling may temporarily appear.

It takes 5 to 10 days to observe the effects that will persist for 3 to 6 months. The treatment can be combined with other aesthetic treatments for a more general facial rejuvenation result. Your surgeon will give you the customary advice to maximise the result after the injections.

Breast augmentation

Breast augmentation

Breast augmentation is intended to correct breast volume and breast sagging issues by adding a prosthesis. This operation makes it possible to fill the upper pole of the breast (neckline).

Young woman measuring her breast on light background

Indications

  • Loss of breast volume or insufficient breast volume
  • Sagging breasts

The volume of the implants is calculated by your surgeon according to your wishes and morphology.

The surgical intervention

  • The scars are positioned on the edge of the areola or in the sub-mammary fold.
  • The prosthesis is implanted in a detachment pocket located either behind the breast gland or behind the pectoral muscle.
  • The incisions are then closed with absorbable sutures and no drainage is necessary.
  • The patient is then to wear a suitable bra day and night for a few weeks following the surgical intervention.

This procedure can be combined with a mastopexy procedure requiring additional scars if the breast subsidence is very severe.

To better appreciate the effects of the surgery, a period of 6 months is necessary for the breasts to regain their suppleness.

Quitting smoking at least 2 months before the operation is mandatory in order to prevent predictable complications. Your surgeon will also review your general health with you in detail in order to minimise the risks of the surgical intervention as much as possible.

Breast reduction

Breast reduction

Breast reduction is designed to correct excessive breast size, as well as sagging breasts and breast asymmetry.

Young woman checking her breast on light background. Cancer awareness concept

Indications

  • Breast hypertrophy in relation to morphology
  • Sagging and/or asymmetric breasts

Indirect correction of:

  • Neck, shoulder and back pain
  • Discomfort during certain activities (sport, maceration of sub-mammary folds)

The surgical intervention

The incisions performed make it possible to remove excess skin.

  • Removing the excess mammary gland and remodelling the breast tissue ensure that the resulting breasts are maintained.
  • Vertical or inverted T-shaped scar as indicated.
  • Wearing a sports bra after surgery.

Post-operative pain is relatively reduced Temporary swelling is often observed.

Patients will then have more aesthetic breasts, better suited to their morphology and daily activities.

Lifting (mastopexy)

Lifting (mastopexy)

When performing a mastopexy, or breast lift, the breasts are reshaped by removing excess skin, replacing the areola, and reshaping the gland.

Vorsorge

Indications

  • Ptosis or sagging breasts
  • Loss of skin elasticity
  • Falling areola

The surgical intervention

Depending on the indications, several incisions are made, ranging from a single incision around the areola to an inverted T-shaped scar.

  • The gland is resuspended and reshaped. The excess skin is removed.
  • The threads used are under the skin and dissolve naturally.
  • No drain is required and the patient is to wear a sports bra for 4 to 6 weeks.

Patients will then have more aesthetic breasts.

Surgical limb lifting

Surgical limb lifting

Brachioplasty (arm lifting) and thigh lifting are designed to reshape the arm and thigh, respectively.

Woman testing the flabby muscle under her arm pulling it down with her hand as she checks for muscle tone or weight gain

Indications

The skin on the arms or thighs has lost its elasticity and has excess fat. A liposuction procedure combined with skin resection is then necessary to tighten the tissues of the limb.

The surgical intervention

  • The excess skin is then removed to retighten the remaining skin.
  • A T-shaped incision is made in one of the folds of the armpit and continues on the internal side of the limb.
  • The area is liposuctioned.

Patients will then have more aesthetic limbs, better suited to their morphology and daily activities.

Fat reinjection

Fat reinjection

Lipofilling consists in reinjecting fat taken from the patient to fill body contour defects that can have multiple origins (traumatic, surgical, congenital).

Portrait of beautiful young woman getting botox cosmetic injection in her face.

Indications

  • Filling certain wrinkles
  • Restoration of facial volume
  • Correction of surface deformations
  • Secondary correction of irregularities related to a previous liposuction
  • Treatment of scar retraction.

The surgical intervention

  • The areas from which fat is taken and then reinjected are marked pre-operatively.
  • Scars hidden in the natural folds of the skin
  • Fat cell collection by manual liposuction
  • Treatment and purification of the fat collected by centrifugation
  • Reinjection using adapted micro-cannulas

Partial resorption of the injected fat is usually observed, which is why the defects are slightly over-corrected. Several sessions are generally necessary for an optimal and lasting result.

Quitting smoking at least 2 months before the operation is mandatory in order to prevent predictable complications. Your surgeon will also review your general health with you in detail in order to minimise the risks of the surgical intervention as much as possible.

Liposculpture

Liposculpture

Liposculpture, a term that actually refers to liposuction, consists in suctioning the excess fat located in areas that are resistant to weight loss and responsible for an unsightly figure. This surgical intervention modifies the silhouette but does cause weight loss.

Woman showing her cellulite

Indications

Removal of fat from the thighs, hips, abdomen, back or chin.

The surgical intervention

  • Incisions hidden in the natural folds.
  • Suctioning of excess fat by using micro-cannulas.
  • Support girdle to be worn day and night for 4 to 6 weeks.

Swelling (oedema) with bruising, some pain and numbness are usually observed after the operation.

Patients then benefit from a lasting change in their silhouette.

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, involves removing excess abdominal skin and any scars or stretch marks that may be present on the resected area. It can be combined with hernia repairs or other abdominal wall injury repairs and can be associated with liposuction for a more aesthetic general result.

cuylits_Plastie_abdominale

Indications

  • Excess abdominal skin
  • Subombilical scars or stretch marks

The surgical intervention

A surface of skin is excised between the navel and the pubis.

  • The skin is folded back towards the pubis.
  • The navel is left attached to the abdominal wall and is externalised by making an incision in the tightened skin.

The scar is hidden by underwear lines. The suture is performed with absorbable sutures and a support girdle is to be worn day and night for 6 weeks.

Patients will then have a retightened stomach.
