FACE
Face
Facelifts, blepharoplasty and correction of prominent ears to address the signs of ageing and restore facial harmony and balance.
Eyelids (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty improves the appearance of the eyes by correcting excess skin and removing peri-orbital fat deposits.
Indications
- Upper eyelids: puffy appearance, drooping eyelids, excess skin (particularly noticeable under certain lighting conditions)
- Lower eyelids: under-eye bags, sagging skin or fine lines, loss of muscle tone
The Procedure
The incisions are carefully concealed within the natural folds of the skin. Fat deposits, excess skin and muscle are reshaped to achieve a rejuvenating effect while softening wrinkles and folds around the eyes. The use of micro-incisions allows for extremely discreet scarring.
For optimal recovery, a period of 3 to 6 months is required for the tissues to regain their suppleness and for the scars to mature and fade.
Facelift
The purpose of a facelift is to correct sagging and laxity of the skin and soft tissues of the face and neck in order to achieve a rejuvenated appearance.
Indications
Neck laxity, loss of definition of the jawline, the appearance of jowls, or deep nasolabial folds. This procedure does not correct expression lines or improve skin quality, but it can be combined with other facial procedures such as blepharoplasty, lipofilling, or chemical peels.
The Procedure
Your surgeon will propose a personalised treatment plan tailored to the specific needs of your face. Scars are carefully concealed within the hairline and around the ears. During the procedure, the skin is separated from the underlying tissues, which are then repositioned and tightened to restore support to the soft tissues of the face. This allows for precise correction of sagging while preserving natural facial expression. The skin is then redraped and excess tissue removed. A period of 3 to 6 months is generally required to fully appreciate the final result.
Prominent Ears (Otoplasty)
Otoplasty is designed to reshape prominent ears and can be performed from around the age of 7 onwards.
Indications
- An excessive angle between the ear and the side of the head
- Overdevelopment of certain cartilage structures, causing the ears to protrude
- Insufficient folding of the cartilage, resulting in a flat and prominent ear appearance
The Procedure
Scars are concealed within the natural crease behind the ear. The cartilage is exposed through a discreet incision and reshaped to reposition the ear closer to the head. A period of 1 to 3 months is generally required for the tissues to soften and for the scars to mature and fade, allowing the final result to be fully appreciated.
Lip Lift
A lip lift shortens the distance between the nose and the upper lip in order to improve the visibility of the red lip and restore a more youthful and harmonious appearance to the mouth.
Indications
- Thin or poorly visible upper lip
- Lengthening of the upper lip due to ageing
- Reduced visibility of the upper incisors at rest
- Desire for better definition of the Cupid’s bow
- Unsatisfactory result or desire for a long-lasting alternative to filler injections
The Procedure
The procedure involves removing a thin strip of skin hidden at the base of the nose within the natural nasal folds. This resection lifts the upper lip and increases its visibility without altering its actual volume.
The scar is generally very discreet as it is located within the anatomical contours of the nose. The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia, either alone or in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures.
Post-operative course
Swelling and small bruises may appear during the first few days. A slight tension of the upper lip is common during the first weeks.
For optimal recovery, a period of 3 to 6 months is required for the tissues to regain their softness and for the scar to gradually fade. The result is long-lasting and helps restore the aesthetic balance of the lower third of the face.
Submental liposuction with radiofrequency
This procedure improves the contour of the neck and jawline by reducing submental fat while tightening the skin using radiofrequency treatment.
Indications
- Double chin due to localized fat excess
- Loss of definition of the cervico-mental angle
- Mild to moderate skin laxity of the neck
- Less defined facial oval
- Patients seeking a less invasive alternative to a neck lift
The Procedure
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Very small incisions hidden within natural skin folds allow the introduction of fine cannulas used to remove excess fat from the double chin area.
Subcutaneous radiofrequency is then applied to heat the tissues in depth. This energy both promotes immediate contraction of collagen fibres and stimulates new collagen production over the following months. The combination of liposuction and radiofrequency allows simultaneous improvement of fat volume and skin quality.
The micro-incisions used generally leave very discreet scars.
Post-operative course
Swelling, bruising and a sensation of tightness in the neck are common during the first days. The use of a compression chin strap is usually recommended during the postoperative period.
The improvement in the neck contour is visible shortly after swelling resolves, while the tightening effect from radiofrequency continues to improve gradually over several months.
For optimal recovery, a period of 3 to 6 months is required for tissues to fully soften and for the final result to be properly assessed.
Permanent threads (Infinite Thread Lift®)
The Thread Lift® using permanent threads is a rejuvenation technique that allows repositioning of sagging facial and neck tissues without the need for a full surgical facelift. Thanks to non-absorbable threads specifically designed to anchor within the tissues, it is possible to restore facial contours and correct certain signs of ageing in a long-lasting way.
This technique provides an immediate lifting effect while preserving the natural facial expression. It is an interesting alternative for patients with moderate skin laxity who wish to avoid more invasive surgery.
Indications
- Facial oval laxity
- Early to moderate jowls
- Cheek sagging
- Loss of jawline definition
- Neck laxity
- Descent of mid-face tissues
- Correction of certain facial asymmetries
- Maintenance or complement to a previous facelift
- Patients seeking long-lasting improvement without a full cervico-facial lift
The surgeon will assess skin quality, the degree of tissue laxity, and your goals in order to determine whether this technique is appropriate for your situation.
The procedure
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia in the clinic or operating room depending on the extent of treatment.
After precise marking of the lifting vectors, the threads are inserted under the skin through small incisions discreetly hidden within the hair or natural facial folds. The tissues are then repositioned along carefully planned vectors to restore facial and neck contours.
The entry points are very small and usually leave only nearly invisible scars.
After the procedure, mild swelling, bruising, or a sensation of tightness may be observed for a few days. These effects are temporary and gradually subside.
It is recommended to avoid excessive facial movements, facial massages, and intense physical activity during the first weeks to ensure proper stabilisation of the threads.
Results
The lifting effect is visible immediately after the procedure and continues to improve over the following weeks as the tissues adapt to their new position.
Unlike absorbable threads, the threads used in the Infinite Thread Lift® technique are permanent. They provide long-lasting mechanical support to the tissues and allow results to be maintained for many years.
To optimise and prolong results, the treatment may be combined with other aesthetic medicine or facial surgery techniques such as hyaluronic acid injections, collagen biostimulators, skin quality treatments, or selected surgical procedures.
As with all facial ageing treatments, the best results are achieved through a global and personalised approach. Your surgeon can design a treatment plan combining several techniques to achieve a harmonious, natural and long-lasting result.
BREASTS
Breasts
Breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift procedures tailored to each patient's anatomy.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation aims to restore or increase breast volume in order to improve body harmony and enhance décolleté projection. It allows correction of naturally small breasts, loss of volume after pregnancy or weight loss, as well as moderate breast sagging.
Indications
- Insufficient or loss of breast volume
- Breast asymmetry
- Moderate breast sagging
- Desire for a fuller and better-defined décolleté
- Correction of changes related to pregnancy or weight fluctuations
The procedure
Several techniques may be proposed depending on your body shape, expectations, and tissue quality.
Breast augmentation with implants
The procedure involves the placement of latest-generation breast implants, meeting the highest safety standards. Depending on the indication, these may be cohesive silicone implants or polyurethane-coated implants, whose specific surface improves stability and reduces certain risks of complications.
The implants are inserted through a discreet incision located either along the lower edge of the areola or in the inframammary fold. They are then positioned either behind the breast gland or behind the pectoral muscle, depending on the patient’s anatomical characteristics.
Breast fat grafting (lipofilling)
For patients seeking a more natural and moderate augmentation, it is sometimes possible to use their own fat exclusively. Fat is harvested via liposuction from donor areas (abdomen, hips, thighs, etc.), then purified before being reinjected into the breasts. This technique generally provides a limited but very natural volume increase.
Hybrid breast augmentation
This technique combines a breast implant with fat grafting. The implant provides the main volume, while fat softens the contours, helps better conceal implant edges, and improves breast shape. This approach combines the advantages of both techniques for a particularly harmonious result.
The incisions are closed with absorbable sutures and no drains are usually required. A compression bra (sports bra type) must be worn day and night for approximately two months to optimise healing and implant positioning.
For optimal recovery, it is recommended to avoid intense physical activity during the first weeks. The final result continues to refine gradually over the months following the procedure.
Complete smoking cessation at least two months before surgery is essential to significantly reduce the risk of complications and promote proper healing. Your surgeon will also assess your general health and medical history to ensure a safe and personalised treatment plan.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Mastopexy reshapes and lifts the breasts by removing excess skin, repositioning the nipple-areola complex and remodelling the breast tissue.
Indications
- Breast ptosis or sagging breasts
- Loss of skin elasticity
- Low-positioned nipples and areolae
The Procedure
Depending on the individual case, several incision patterns may be used, ranging from a scar around the areola alone to an inverted T-shaped scar. The breast tissue is lifted and reshaped, while excess skin is removed. The sutures are placed beneath the skin and dissolve naturally over time. No drains are required, and patients are advised to wear a sports bra for 4 to 6 weeks following the procedure.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction surgery is designed to correct excessively large breasts while also addressing breast sagging and asymmetry.
Indications
- Breast hypertrophy disproportionate to the patient's body shape
- Breast sagging and/or asymmetry
May also help relieve:
- Neck, shoulder and back pain
- Discomfort during certain activities (sports, irritation within the inframammary folds)
The Procedure
The surgical incisions allow excess skin to be removed. Removal of excess breast tissue and reshaping of the remaining breast tissue help ensure a long-lasting and well-supported result. Depending on the individual case, scars may be vertical or in an inverted T pattern. A sports bra is worn during the post-operative recovery period.
